Workshop in schools
There is no age to be an artist!
Here, the pupils are five.
By following a reference picture or my own artwork, the kids learn coffee painting with all of their senses.
First, they want to understand how to get different shades. Then, they experience coffee's special texture with several brushes and even their fingers. But, above all, the smell reminds them of their parents' favorite drink!
I draw the sketch beforehand, so they can try out this technique in a easy way, and are allowed to add all the details they want in their own artwork. In the end, they enjoy noticing all the differences between their painting and their classmates' !
Workshop in exhibitions
An exhibition attracts a large audience. From kids to elders, amateurs to regulars, everyone has a very personal sensitivity.
Nevertheless, when people gather around the table to paint, this creates a beautiful moment of sharing and friendliness!
Even if each artist starts off with the same sketch, printed on a special paper beforehand, their perseverance and curiosity produce a great diversity of art pieces.
At the end of the workshop, I'm always delighted to notice that all the pupils are proud of their work, while they didn't expect to be so successful at first. Most of them try again at home!
