This painting is a collective piece. It was made out of the testimonies of women from all horizons who wanted to join their voice to this project. In order to included different communities, I created two versions : one is in French, the other one in English. Each contains different claims.

Hawksbill Sea Turtle

Mare Nostrum, The Leatherback Project and Fundación Tortugas del Mar are foundations working to preserce maritim ecosystem. In 2021, they launched a campaign to protect the Hawksbill Sea Turtle, an endangered species, hunt for its shell, and threaten by the destruction of its habitat.
For them, I painted this poster with coffee, while my friend Meadow wrote the poem. We wanted to link our own universe the foundation's purposes, and that’s the reason why we chose to do a Natural History poster, inspired by old science books.
